This year we’re bringing The Black Power Mixtape to our big screen, shining a light on icons of the Black Panther and Civil Rights movements.

Tell us what Scalarama means to you

Scalarama gives people just a taste of what the UK has to offer when it comes to cinema. It’s a true community effort from cinemagoers, lovers and exhibitors.

Why should people come to your event?

Not only are we celebrating one of the greatest revolutions of history, but we’re lucky enough to have Neil Kenlock in conversation after the film. Neil is a photographer who documented the rise of the UK Black Power Movement in the late ’60s and ’70s, as well as a number of demonstrations and anti-racism protests across the UK.
