Tell us about your organisation

We have no agenda other than to share films that we like with as many people as possible and to encourage others to do the same.

Tell us about your Scalarama event this year

We’re hosting the Scalarama Glasgow opening party where we’ll be screening Hedwig and the Angry Inch along with performances from some of Glasgow’s most outrageous drag acts.

Tell us what Scalarama means to you

Pity Party Film Club started as part of last year’s Scalarama so we wouldn’t be here without it. It’s an invaluable way to get people involved in the world of DIY cinema. What’s more important than that?

Why should people come to your event?

Because it’d be homophobic not to.

What Scalarama event(s) besides your own are you looking forward to?

We’re personally most excited for Harold and Maude at the Old Hairdressers. Truly one of the greatest films ever made.

Anything else you want to tell people about?

When you’re getting out of your seat on an aeroplane please don’t use the headrest of the seat in front to pull yourself up.

Pity Party Film Club screen Hedwig and the Angry Inch Saturday 01/09 at The Seamore Neighbourhood Cinema.
