Scalarama is an annual DIY celebration of cinema, for everyone, by everyone, everywhere, every September.
Love films? Would you like to nurture a more vibrant, more diverse film culture in Glasgow? Whether you already organise film screenings (or want to), programme a cinema/festival/venue or have no idea at all where to start – come along to Kinning Park Complex to get involved in Scalarama 2017.
This month, the meet-up is in association with KPC’s weekly donation-based community meal, which intercepts food from supermarkets that is destined for waste and creates nutritious meals for the community.
17:30-19:00: Community Meal
19:00-20:00: Scalarama Meet-up
In 2016, Glasgow exhibitors screened everything from Beyond The Valley of the Dolls to a VHS Trash Triple Bill – documentaries, shorts, concert films, arthouse, action and romance – in venues ranging from a Bearsden living room to the Planetarium at Glasgow Science Centre.
