So this is the creepiest picture I managed to find of the venue we are having our next meeting at:) You will have to enter Summerhall, proudly march right past the reception to the back door, find yourselves in the courtyard and see this beauty in front of you. It will be the room that’s on your immediate *right* once you step into this haunted house in the picture above.
Share far and wide, maybe we’ll manage to lure another couple of shy ones to the Scalarama side 😉 Looking forward to seeing you all, bring along laughs and ideas. We will most likely dedicate the meeting to discuss the results of our month-long venue scouting, film selections, and whatever may come up after a couple of beers, which I hope will be licencing, film licencing.
🙂 see you there.

Oh, and for those who missed the first meeting and may be wondering what exactly this Scalarama beast is – here’s the
BRIEF:
Scalarama is a month-long celebration of cinema that takes place in cinema and non-cinema venues each September across the UK. Would you like to nurture a more vibrant, more diverse film culture in Edinburgh? Whether you already organise film screenings (or would like to!), programme a cinema/festival/venue, or have absolutely no idea where to start – join the ranks of indie film exhibitors under the banner of Scalarama, and we will make it happen together!
Each of us will have a chance to put on our very own event(s), bringing it to fruition with a little help from the industry and each other. This month we have been scouting for possible venues around Edinburgh as well as trying to decide on individual film choices:) Hopefully, in June we can start looking into the film licencing, allocate screenings to their prospective venues and discuss ideas for marketing..
