SUMMARY:Young Adventurers Cinema : The Florida Project
DESCRIPTION:The Florida Project follows Moone a mischevious young girl and her friends as they explore the world around them\, living in a motel near Disneyland. The children have a dysfunctional life\, with irresponsible but caring parents. Sean Baker creates a film with sweetness and charm while dealing with poverty and family in America. \nI chose this film because upon seeing it I instantly fell in love with it\, the performance blew me away – Brooklynn Prince embodying a mischevious and naive little girl and Bria Vinaite as Hayley a well-meaning but ultimately reckless mother (acting for her first time). I think the film deals with an important topic beautifully through the eyes of a child. This is one of my favourite films and is definitely not one to miss. DESCRIPTION:CineWire and Warrington Borough Council team up to present Brassed Off  as part of the season “Film Up North ” a season of great British films with local and regional connections\,  screened at the unique location of the Warrington Town Hall Ballroom. \nBrassed Off  ( 1966) represents Town Hall current use as the town political centre and it has been voted one of the BFI’s Best British Films of all time. It tells the story of a calming in a small northern village which is on the brink of closure putting both jobs and the miner’s brass band in jeopardy. The film starts Warringtonian talent such as Sue Johnston and the late great Pete Postlethwaite as band leader Danny. \nTickets £7 Adult / £5 per concession ( under 18s\,students\,seniors) \n*Free tickets available for carers accompanying guests with accessibility needs.
