Dementia came out in 1955 and it’s the first and only film directed by John Parker. It’s a bit like the ’50s Cabinet of Dr. Caligari with female sexual paranoia. It was banned in the UK for 13 years. It’s Boyd Rice’s favourite film and it plays like a proto-David Lynch film!
There will be a short intermission between the film and the bands to do a quick soundcheck
Then some rockin’ bands will play
with more acts to be confirmed! Afterwards Ian Schultz and other reprobates will be spinning psychedelic weirdness to post-punk and everything in between.
Expect to hear the following
Joy Division, The Jesus & Mary Chain, The Clean, The Velvet Underground, The Dream Syndicate, The Shangri-Las, Big Star, The Birthday Party, Devo, Cleaners from Venus, The Seeds, The Sonics, Bobby Fuller, Buzzcocks, Wipers, The Fall, The Chills, The Verlaines, The Go-Betweens, Serge Gainsbourg, Josie Cotton, Lee Hazlewood, Love, The Stooges, Radio Birdman, The Saints, The Monks, Ramones My Bloody Valentine, Swell Maps, The Psychedelic Furs, The Raincoats, The Standells, The Chocolate Watch-Band, The Replacements, Television Personalities, Suicide, Talking Heads, X, The 13th Floor Elevators and much more
